Conditions of
Purchase:
1. Buyer agrees
to have purchased puppy spayed or neutered no later than 6 months of age if the
above described puppy was purchased under the limited
2. Breeder
guarantees the above described puppy is purebred.
3. Breeder
guarantees this puppy is in good health and free from any contagious diseases
upon this date. ____________________
4. Breeder can
not guarantee the adult size, conformation or color. This depends on how the
puppy is raised and cared for.
5. Buyer shall
have the puppy/dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of final
purchase/possession transfer to ensure current health status. Proof must be
e-mailed to the above address as an attachment in PDF format, faxed or mailed directly
to the kennel by the veterinarian. If proof is not provided of the initial
veterinarian exam for the purchased puppy, the kennel reserves the right of
immediate repossession of the purchased puppy without any refunded monies
and/or immediate termination of this guarantee. If repossession is not chosen
by the kennel, then this contract shall be voided immediately on the 3rd day
after purchase. If a hereditary problem is detected within the first 48 hours,
the buyer may return the defective puppy for an exchange of another of equal
value of purchase price. If an equal value pup is unavailable, but a higher
priced pup is, buyer shall pay the difference in prices. If another of equal value
is unavailable at the time, the buyer may have to wait for the next available
litter of equal value. This may take up to 2 years for a replacement puppy. No
refunds will be given, for any reason, only an exchange of puppies.
*This health guarantee covers hip dysplasia, heart murmurs, blood disorders, thyroid
disorders plus any and all genetic defects in the puppy that will make the
puppy unsuitable as a pet with the exception that this does not guarantee
against Alopecia in the dilute puppies, belly button hernia, under or over bite
in the jaw or blindness/deafness in double dapple dachshunds.
*This health guarantee shall remain in effect for 90 days from the
date of the initial vet visit with the exceptions listed in (a) and (b) below:
(a)To extend this guarantee up to 25 months, (after Maturity,
which is determined to be 18 months), the purchased puppy/dog must be tested/pre-tested
for hip defects. If the buyer does not provide a copy of the proof to the
breeder of a hip certification (through OFA), the hip dysplasia
guarantee is voided after the puppies 19th month birthday.
(b)Your puppy has been started on NuVet Vitamins. This health guarantee is effective only for
90 days after the initial vet visit, then extended to 25 months if the OFA
certification has been completed and you have kept/keep your purchased puppy on
these vitamins. You have been provided a sample at no extra charge to hold the
puppy over to allow time for shipping directly to you from NuVet.
If the buyer keeps the purchased puppy on the NuVet
vitamins, this guarantee shall be extended a maximum of 5 years from the date
of this contract. These vitamins are no different than a
human taking vitamins for health supplement. You have been provided a
brochure explaining the benefits of these vitamins to your puppy. If you fail
to keep your puppy on the vitamins, plus obtain the OFA certification, the
health guarantee is voided upon the puppies 19th month birthday.
6. Buyer may
return the purchased puppy in the event of a life threatening defect. Only an
equal value puppy shall be its replacement. If an equal value puppy is not
available, but a higher valued puppy is, then the buyer shall pay the
difference to the breeder. The buyer may have to wait for up to two years after
the return of the defective puppy. It is the buyer's responsibility to
return the defective puppy at the buyer's expense.
7. Buyer shall
assume the full responsibility for the health, temperament and appearance of
the above described puppy upon possession transfer.
8. Buyer
further agrees to maintain the dog at all times in good health with regular
check-ups by a licensed veterinarian, immunizations, wormings
and medical care. Buyer agrees to provide appropriate housing according to
state law. If the kennel finds that these conditions are not being met with
regular checks to the buyers vet or proof can not be provided, the kennel
reserves the right of immediate repossession. Buyer further agrees to
release the vet from the privacy law and give the vet written permission for
the kennel to obtain information directly from the vet at any time during the
duration of this health guarantee.
9. The kennel
has made every attempt to rid the puppy of internal parasites (worms), but can
not guarantee against them. All puppies are born with internal parasites (worms)
and it takes several de-worming treatments to completely rid the purchased pup
of them. Our de-worming procedure is strictly adhered to. The kennel may or may
not send Pyrantel Panomate
(Nemex II)/Drontal with the
purchaser at the time of possession transfer. If the kennel does not provide Pyrantel Panomate (Nemex II) or Drontal to the
buyer, the buyer must request it from their veterinarian at the initial visit
after a fecal test has been performed to rule that the above described puppy
still has or does not have internal parasites (worms) in its system. The
kennel highly suggests that the buyer still have the fecal performed even if
the kennel has provided the necessary medicine for the internal parasites.
10. The actions
and upbringing of the dog is the responsibility of the buyer. Under no
circumstances will the breeder be held responsible for the dog's actions or
temperament after possession transfer. The purchased puppy was bred for good
temperament and was well socialized prior to leaving the kennel, but the
breeder will not be responsible for the actions of others in the upbringing of
the purchased puppy.
11. Should you
at anytime find that you are unable to keep the puppy; AK Countyline
Kennels will take the puppy back without an exchange or monies refunded.
However, the puppy must have had a physical and fecal exam to show no
contagious diseases or parasites. The fecal MUST be tested for the following;
Regular test, Parvo, Giardia
and Coccidia. The test results, signature and printed
name, address and phone number of the veterinarian along with a signed/notarized
statement from you (the buyer) stating why you can not keep the puppy (i.e.
bites, doesn’t like kids, has a gender preference, moving). This information
will be needed to place the puppy with another family. Buyer further agrees
that the purchased puppy (at any time in the puppy's life) shall never go to a
rescue center, animal shelter or pound. Buyer agrees to relinquish the
purchased puppy back to the breeder to allow the breeder to place the puppy in
a new home. If it is necessary for the buyer to relinquish ownership of the
puppy/dog immediately (for any reason), the breeder agrees to accept the
puppy/dog (with no monies refunded) and place the puppy/dog into a new home.
Fees incurred by the breeder for replacement for the puppy/dog shall be the
responsibility of the buyer to reimburse to the breeder. This may include, but
not limited to, advertising, boarding, medical attention, etc. Should the above
owner pass away, the family may return the dog to the breeder at any time with
no monies refunded nor will the family be billed for fees incurred by the
breeder for re-placement of the dog. A statement of such shall accompany
the puppy’s return signed and notarized by one of the family members.
12. After
possession transfer, the kennel at no time takes any responsibility for any
injuries to the purchased puppy caused by another pet, children, car accident,
fight, strangulation, mutilation, abuse, suffocation, poisoning or accidental
injury caused by any other animal or persons that the buyer shall choose to
place the purchased puppy with for care. In the event this puppy dies, then the
buyer shall be responsible for the necropsy to be performed by the vet of the
kennels choice. This must be delivered to the kennel no later than 48 hours
after the death of the puppy. The necropsy report from the vet must be faxed or
mailed to the kennel if the buyer wishes to have the deceased puppy replaced.
In the event of the necropsy proving that the death was caused by any thing
other than a life threatening defect, the kennel will refuse the replacement of
the puppy.
13. Breeder agrees that the puppy is healthy at the time of possession transfer
and the puppy has received immunizations and de-wormings.
**A health chart and immunization schedule has been or will be provided to the
new owner upon possession transfer.***
